Restorative Services
Friendship Haven's restorative nursing care program is designed to assist each resident to achieve and maintain an optimal level of self care and independence.
We provide treatment and services to maintain or improve our resident's abilities, as indicated by their comprehensive assessment. And help them achieve and maintain the highest practicable outcomes.
Our facility has an active program of restorative nursing care, which is developed and coordinated through the resident's care plan.
Our restorative nursing department attempts to restore resident to his or her maximum capability.
We offer ambulation, range of motion, and exercises in their rooms for strengthening and maintaining.
If an improvement or decline in self care and independence is noticed, the Rehab Department is notified and residents are re-evaluated as needed.
Our wellness program includes both land exercises and aquacise classes, and have participants from all levels of living at Friendship Haven.
The aquacise classes have also benefited others from the community as well.
We have had great support from the physicians, with referrals from our local area, Ames, and Des Moines.
