A community survey was conducted in February of 1998 to gain community input for the development of a shared community vision for our future. 13,000 households were mailed the survey. On January 23, 1998, a community planning and visioning conference called Citizen University was held in which 350 citizens participated. The results of this survey, combined with input gleaned from the Citizen University are listed in the 1998 assessment pages.
The Community Action Network and the Webster County Department of Public Health conducted a Follow up Community Assessment in February 2000. The assessment is an update of the February 1998 process, and will be utilized to plan for and implement new programs. The results of this assessment are listed in the 2000 assessment pages.
