support the Fort Dodge Safe Home Program

Safe Home Parent Pledge

I pledge as the parent(s)/guardian(s) of a Fort Dodge youth do hereby pledge to make my home a Safe Home by doing the following:

• I will be present and visible at all youth-attended parties/gatherings in my home.



• I will not serve nor allow youth under legal age to consume/use alcohol, drugs, and/or tobacco in my home or on my property.



• I agree to make plans for adequate supervision of my youth if I am away from home.



• I welcome communication with any parent/guardian who observes my youth using alcohol or other illegal substances.



• I will communicate with other Safe Home parents/guardians regarding any activities or parties where I personally observe your youth using alcohol or other illegal substances. I agree to keep these calls confidential.

Please note that because the pledge is designed to increase communication between parents, phone numbers will be published in a directory. If you do not wish to include your home phone number, please give a business phone number where you can be reached. The directory contains the names of all parents who have signed and returned the safe home pledge. A copy of the directory can be obtained by e-mailing info@fortdodge.org
